This has been an interesting week for this blog, in terms of traffic numbers and “prominent” features.

On Monday, one of my posts made it to the Hacker News frontpage with a little over a 100 points, and stayed there for the large part of the day. I’ll do a more in-depth write-up on the details (traffic, lessons learned, …) at a later point, since the stats are pretty impressive.

My article on HTTP/2 then got mentioned on the HighScalability.com blog.

Not much later, one of the Anonymous Twitter accounts (yes, that Anonymous), with 1.5 million followers, tweeted about a post on learning resources for systemd.

That same systemd post got featured on the Homepage of Linux.com (and still is at the time of writing) in the tutorial section. Some time after, someone (not me this time) posted the link to /r/LinuxActionShow on Reddit. All in all, the learning systemd post got quite a lot of traction on Twitter.

I didn’t expect this week to be this intensive in terms of blog-post traffic. But hey, I’m not complaining. Most bloggers get their kicks out of great numbers of page views, and I’m no exception.

Here’s to next week!
