How To Take a Screenshot on Your Apple Watch

Taking a screenshot on your Apple Watch is just as easy as taking a screenshot on your phone: hold down the only 2 buttons available on the device at the same time.

One catch since watchOS 3: screenshots are turned off by default (the same button combo also pauses a workout), so you have to enable them first. On the watch, go to Settings > General > Screenshots and turn on Enable Screenshots. You can do the same from the Watch app on your iPhone under General.

With that enabled, click the scroll wheel ("digital crown") and the side button simultaneously. The watch will make an audible sound, take a screenshot and then sync it to your iPhone’s Photo library in a few seconds.

To access the screenshot, just navigate to your Photos and by the time you get there, the screenshot will have synced there.
